Nadya Suleman has taken Mommy blogging to a whole new level. Not only has she signed an exclusive deal with RadarOnline.com to write the blog, she's writing it by hand on a legal pad and it is available in PDF version online.
In addition to her unique style, she also already has some unique content including fears of her father being on Oprah and worries about what the most powerful woman in the world will think about her "crazy" situation. In case she cares what I think...I think I've already had enough.

Doesn't writing it by hand make it a little less blog-ey and a little more dear diary? I don't get it. Handwritten items aren't searchable, aren't interactive, aren't linkable...how is this going to work for her?
ReplyDeleteI agree. It is more like a journal entry than a blog and does not have much opportunity to be widespread without links and interaction. I assume that if Radar Online is able to attract significant interest, they will eventually have someone transcribe her notes into a real blog entry. Right now it seems like a bit of a gimmick in attempt to capitalize on the public's fascination with this insane story.
